How should I prepare my hair for a curly cut?
To give you the best possible cut, we need to see your curls in their true, natural element! Please arrive with your hair completely dry, down, and detangled. Style it exactly how you normally wear it with your standard products, but please avoid heavy oils, gels, or pulling your hair back into clips, ponytails, or buns. This allows your stylist to accurately analyze your natural curl pattern, shrinkage, and shape before the scissors ever come out.
Do you cut curly hair wet or dry?
We customize our approach based on your specific texture and goals, but we primarily specialize in dry, curl-by-curl cutting. Curly hair naturally shrinks and changes shape when it dries. By cutting your hair while it's dry and in its natural resting state, we completely eliminate the dreaded "triangle shape" and ensure your hair is never cut too short. Once the initial shape is carved out, we will treat you to a luxurious wash and specialized styling session, followed by final dry-cut refinements.
What curl types do your stylists work with?
We proudly celebrate and specialize in all textures! From loose 2A beachy waves to tight, beautiful 4C coils, our team understands the unique hydration, styling, and cutting techniques required for every single point on the curl spectrum. We know that no two curl patterns are exactly alike (even on the same head of hair!), and your stylist will work with you to understand your specific hair history, goals, and daily routine.
How does your pricing structure work?
We have two pricing levels, Master and Stylist. These levels are based on years of experience and advanced education.
We strive to provide upfront and clear pricing without any hidden fees. Our services are à la carte with all optional add-on services clearly defined. For instance, booking an appointment for a color service will have a listed price for either Master or Stylist level. You may choose to add optional add-on services.
If your stylist believes that you may need additional color product to achieve your desired finished look, based on the density and length of your hair, we will communicate this up-front during your consultation, and provide an accurate price quote before services begin to ensure that there are no surprises at checkout.
In order to achieve the best results for your hair, we believe that during a color service, all of the hair needs to be treated, which is why all of our color services include a gloss, which is also commonly known as a “glaze” or “toner.”

Is styling included with color services?
No, color services that are not followed by a haircut, do not include styling and must be scheduled separately as a color finish. Alternatively, we do have a complementary self-blowdry area available that is fully stocked with professional tools and products.
What if I'm uncertain which services to schedule?
Our services are à la carte and have allotted durations. If you are uncertain of what to book, looking for a big change, have extra long or thick hair, or in need of corrective work, we highly recommend scheduling a complimentary in-person or start virtual consultation to ensure that you are scheduled with enough time to complete your desired services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash. We do not accept checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, please provide Sunday Salon with 24 hours’ notice. Should you fail to cancel your appointment within the allotted time frame or not show up for your service, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the full value of your scheduled service.
