A Full Custom Color service involves adding vibrant dimension or balayage throughout your entire head, perfect for a complete copper or auburn transformation. A Partial focuses solely on the top layer, crown, and face-framing pieces to add a subtle pop of brightness or maintain an existing look.

Will going red or copper cause damage to my hair?

The integrity of your hair is our absolute top priority. Whether we need to lighten your hair first to achieve a vivid copper or are depositing a rich auburn, our specialists use premium products paired with advanced bond-building treatments to safely achieve beautiful red tones without compromising your hair's health.

Why does red hair fade so fast, and how do you prevent it?

Red color molecules are naturally larger than other colors, making them more prone to fading. To prevent this, a custom toning gloss is included in all of our dimensional color services. This gloss locks in your desired rich ruby or vibrant copper tone and seals the cuticle for immense, glass-like shine.

How often do I need to come in for red hair maintenance?

It depends on the technique! Lived-in red balayage is lower-maintenance, often only requiring major touch-ups 1 to 2 times a year. However, to keep your red or copper vibrant and prevent fading, we highly recommend coming in for a quick 90-minute Gloss & Blowout every 4 to 6 weeks.

How long does a custom red appointment take?

Flawless color takes time! Depending on your starting canvas, hair density, and ultimate goals, expect to relax with us for 2.5 to 4+ hours. We offer complimentary beverages, Wi-Fi, and a luxurious environment so you can unwind while your color processes.

How does your pricing structure work?

We believe in upfront, transparent pricing. Because custom blonding requires varying amounts of product based on your hair's length, density, and starting level, your stylist will provide a firm, accurate price quote during your consultation before any lightener is mixed. No surprises at checkout.

Do I need to book a consultation first?

If you have previous box dye, banding, or are looking for a major transformation (like color correction), we highly recommend booking a complimentary consultation first so we can map out a safe journey for your hair. For standard dimension and maintenance, you can book directly online!

Is styling included with my color service?

To ensure we have enough time to perfect your look, color services not followed by a haircut must be paired with a styling service. Please make sure to add an "After Color Styling" (Blowout) when booking online so you leave the salon looking flawless!

We are located at Raleigh Iron Works (1101 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Suite 170, Raleigh, NC 27604). There is ample free parking available right in the plaza.
