Sunday Salon Engages with Local Partners for Flagship Store Renovations

Cary, NC – Sunday Salon, the premier hair salon in Cary, NC, for personalized hair care service in a comfortable and elegant setting, has engaged several partners to commence renovations for a flagship store. The 1,571 sq ft commercial hair salon located at 133 Weston Pkwy, Cary, NC 27513 is being transformed into a modern, elegant and functional space to provide an elevated experience for clients, and a productive environment for staff members.

Sunday Salon collaborated with the Town of Cary Development Liaison Service to formalize renovation plans and apply for the necessary permits to commence construction. “Working with the town liaisons was a seamless process,” said, Lisa Edwards, President of Sunday Salon, “They guided us through the process for our project and provided us with support for planning, zoning, permitting, building code, and inspections. The Town of Cary is ready for business and willing to assist start-ups with services to accelerate the process of opening a retail location.”

The renovation contract was awarded to Addison Construction Group, a fully licensed and insured general contractor, that is family owned and operated with local roots, serving clients throughout Carolina’s for more than two decades. The renovation project scope was finalized with Bryan May, who is currently managing the project and providing personal service, as well as quality craftsmanship. “We met with several general contractors and ultimately decided that Addison Construction Group offered us the most value,” stated Lisa Edwards. “Working with Bryan and his team has been wonderful and exceeded our expectations, specifically the creative ideas they provide. Bryan dedicated a lot of time to us and really listened to our needs, wants, goals, budget, and timeframe to align all these variables as part of the renovation project.” Lisa continued, “We were equally impressed with the feedback from a reference Bryan provided that was for a recent renovation at a reputable hair salon in Apex, NC.”

Once the building permit was approved and contract awarded, Sunday Salon partnered with Clark Woodard at Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance, Raleigh’s oldest and most trusted independent insurance agency. “Insurance can seem complicated, but Clark made the process easy and quick so that we could get our business moving forward with peace of mind.” Lisa Edwards stated.

“As the Triangle continues to see record population growth, it is exciting to see new residents embrace and support local businesses in their communities. We have relied on the value of the personal relationship for decades and I feel like our relationship with Sunday Salon embodies what that will look like in the future. Our team is looking forward to watching Lisa and Andrew grow their business and celebrate in their successes.” Stated Clark Woodard, President of Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance.

“We knew we needed to invest in lighting to make an immediate impact when a client walked into the retail space or when someone walked by,” mentioned Lisa Edwards, “After a meeting with the team at Capitol Lighting Gallery we selected a beautiful chandelier, a couple of stunning pendant lights, and multiple light fixtures to elevate the mood and design of our flagship store.” Capitol Lighting Gallery has a fine selection of lighting fixtures and serves in the surrounding area of Raleigh, NC.

With the help of Sara Ramirez at Elite Custom Signs, a local full-service custom sign and graphics company that provides design solutions and installation of all types of signs, Sunday Salon was able to quickly install a custom branded window decal to generate brand awareness and anticipation for the opening of the flagship store. “We were so impressed with the work we saw on Instagram from Elite Custom Signs and amazed at how quickly we had our window decal installed. We’ve even been getting sign-ups on our waitlist from our sign.” mentioned Lisa Edwards, “We are so excited to get our branded sign installed when we are closer to opening and are delighted that Sara and her team could execute projects with our brand guidelines in place.”

“It has been such a pleasure to work with Lisa & Andrew during this process. From the beginning, they have had a vision of what they want their custom signage to look like. I have really enjoyed helping bring their dream and vision come to life.” Said, Sara Ramirez, Director of Operations.

Green Effect, a local company that specializes in interior plant design and horticultural services and has been servicing the surrounding area since 1985, was selected by Sunday Salon to install a living wall inside the flagship store. “We met with Sharon Madigan and were confident that she would be able to implement a professional living wall that would align with our brand image and elevate the experience for our clients,” said Lisa Edwards.

“It is refreshing to see our next generation of business leaders committed to the indoor air quality that only living plants can provide.” Said Sharon Madigan, President of Green Effect.

“We continue to engage with local partners. We are investing in these relationships to foster collaboration and drive our mutual business goals.” Lisa stated, “We believe that supporting local businesses, especially during a global pandemic, is critically important to our success. We are delighted to be working with experts at organizations such as the Town of Cary, Addison Construction Group, Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance, Capital Lighting Gallery, Elite Custom Signs, and Green Effect, as they help us bring the vision for our flagship store to life.”
