Cary, NC – Sunday Salon, a leading hair salon in Cary, NC, renowned for its personalized service in a sophisticated and welcoming setting, has partnered with key collaborators to begin renovations for its flagship store. Located at 133 Weston Parkway, the 1,571 sq. ft. commercial space is being transformed into a modern, elegant, and functional environment. The goal: to elevate the client experience and create a productive, inspiring workspace for the team.
Sunday Salon worked closely with the Town of Cary’s Development Liaison Service to finalize renovation plans and secure the necessary permits. Lisa Edwards, President of Sunday Salon, praised the process, stating, “The town liaisons made everything seamless. They guided us on planning, zoning, permits, building codes, and inspections, ensuring our project stayed on track. Cary is business-ready and eager to support startups with resources to accelerate the journey of opening a retail location.”
The renovation contract was awarded to Addison Construction Group, a trusted, family-owned general contractor that has served Carolinas’ businesses for over 20 years. Bryan May, who is managing the project, has been praised for his personal approach and exceptional craftsmanship. “After evaluating several contractors, we found Addison Construction Group offered the best value,” said Lisa Edwards. “Bryan and his team exceeded our expectations, offering creative solutions and dedicating time to understand our needs, goals, budget, and timeline.” She added, “We were equally impressed by glowing feedback from a reputable salon in Apex, NC, that recently worked with Bryan on a renovation project.”
With permits approved and the contract awarded, Sunday Salon partnered with Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance, Raleigh’s oldest and most trusted independent insurance agency, to ensure comprehensive coverage. “Insurance can seem overwhelming, but Clark Woodard made the process quick and easy, giving us peace of mind to move forward,” said Edwards.
Clark Woodard, President of Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance, shared his excitement for the project. “As the Triangle experiences record growth, it’s heartening to see new residents embracing local businesses. We’ve built our reputation on relationships, and our partnership with Sunday Salon embodies that commitment. We look forward to celebrating Lisa and Andrew’s success as their business grows.”
Lighting was another key focus for the renovation, with Sunday Salon collaborating with Capitol Lighting Gallery. “We wanted the lighting to set the tone the moment clients walked in,” noted Edwards. After consulting with their team, Sunday Salon selected an exquisite chandelier, statement pendant lights, and other fixtures to enhance the store’s ambiance. “The lighting choices truly elevate the space,” Edwards remarked.
To generate awareness ahead of the grand opening, Sunday Salon enlisted the help of Sara Ramirez and her team at Elite Custom Signs. The full-service signage company quickly installed a custom-branded window decal, creating buzz and driving sign-ups for the salon’s waitlist. “We were blown away by their Instagram projects and the speed of execution,” Edwards shared. “We can’t wait to see the final branded signage closer to our opening.”
Sara Ramirez, Director of Operations at Elite Custom Signs, added, “It’s been a pleasure bringing Lisa and Andrew’s vision to life. From the start, they had a clear idea of what they wanted, and we’ve enjoyed helping them realize it.”
To complete the transformation, Sunday Salon partnered with Green Effect, a local expert in interior plant design and horticultural services, to install a living wall in the store. “The living wall aligns perfectly with our brand and enhances the overall client experience,” said Edwards. Sharon Madigan, President of Green Effect, commented, “It’s inspiring to see the next generation of business owners prioritize indoor air quality and the natural beauty plants provide.”
Reflecting on these collaborations, Lisa Edwards emphasized the importance of working with local partners. “Every partnership we’ve built has been instrumental in bringing our vision for the flagship store to life. Supporting local businesses, especially during challenging times, is critical to our success. We are thrilled to collaborate with outstanding organizations like the Town of Cary, Addison Construction Group, Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance, Capitol Lighting Gallery, Elite Custom Signs, and Green Effect to create a space that reflects our values and vision.”
