Lisa Edwards and Andrew Edwards worked alongside commercial real estate advisor Blaine Smith to negotiate a lease agreement with developers Grubb Ventures and Jamestown, establishing a 3,681-square-foot sustainable luxury flagship.

CARY, NC (December 23, 2025): Sunday Salon, a premier Triangle-area hair salon known for its technical excellence in hand-painted balayage and lived-in color, today shared details behind the strategic expansion that brought its flagship salon to the historic Raleigh Iron Works development. President & Creative Director Lisa Edwards and Vice President Andrew Edwards collaborated closely with Blaine Smith, Associate at Elm Partners, to identify the site and successfully negotiate a long-term commercial lease with developers Grubb Ventures and Jamestown.

The deal secured a custom-designed, 3,681-square-foot corner suite at 1101 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Suite 170. The location allows Sunday Salon to scale its growing team of Master Stylists, Master Colorists, and apprentices while establishing a modern, sustainable luxury footprint in one of Raleigh's most dynamic adaptive-reuse districts.

Navigating the Triangle Commercial Real Estate Market

Finding a location capable of accommodating Sunday Salon’s specific operational needs—including expanded consultation stations, advanced ventilation, custom lighting, and high-capacity processing areas—required deep regional market insight.

To navigate the competitive Raleigh commercial real estate landscape, Sunday Salon partnered with Blaine Smith of Elm Partners, a commercial brokerage focused on connecting local businesses with transformative commercial spaces across Raleigh. Smith worked alongside Lisa and Andrew Edwards throughout the search, identifying Raleigh Iron Works as an ideal match for the salon's brand evolution, aesthetic vision, and long-term client growth strategy.

"Partnering with Blaine Smith and the team at Elm Partners made all the difference in turning our vision into reality," said Andrew Edwards, Vice President of Sunday Salon. "Blaine understood not just our physical space requirements, but the experience we wanted to create for our clients and stylists. His guidance through negotiations with Grubb Ventures and Jamestown was instrumental in securing a flagship home that sets Sunday Salon up for decades of growth."

"From our first walkthrough, we knew Raleigh Iron Works offered the environment we needed to support our clients and our education-focused team culture," said Lisa Edwards, President & Creative Director of Sunday Salon. "Securing this lease allows us to anchor our specialist team in a landmark location while continuing to deliver the high-touch, tailored color services our clients expect."

"Our goal was to find a place that Sunday Salon could call home and we found that with Raleigh Iron Works," said Blaine Smith, Associate at Elm Partners. "Working with Lisa, Andrew, and the entire Sunday Salon team was a tremendous experience for me. It was inspiring being around people who know how to build culture and community like they do."
